About this campaign
When we brought Duchess home we knew she had a hernia but thought it was a quick easy fix. Unfortunately, we found out at the vet this week that it will cost upwards of $3000 to fix. We are hoping to have a little help to pay for her treatment so we don’t have to worry about the life threatening consequences of her hernia complicating.
Since bringing her home Duchess has quickly become an important part of our lives. She loves her four human siblings and 2 doggy ones. She is the only dog we own who does not try to eat the cats for which they are grateful and so not smack her (most of the time). She loves playing but most of all she loves snuggles and sleeping. We hope one day that she will be a therapy dog & bring joy to others
She’s very quite and loves to sleep which makes her a perfect candidate for therapy work. She loves to be pet and meet new people. She is a wonderful little puppy and we can’t wait to see her grow into a full sized dog! She also loves dog beds and to climb into the toy bin. She recently learned what treat means and her name.
She was born with the hernia and it will need to be fixed at the time of spay by a specialist as our vet isn’t trained for that type of repair. We have been going to Dr Connor for 10+ years with various animals and she is highly skilled and I totally believe her recommendation is to keep our pet happy and healthy.
We weren’t expecting the added burden of this financial strain and would appreciate donations. We are glad that we got her as she could have otherwise been facing euthanasia. Thanks so much for considering helping duchess grow to her full potential!
