Duckie is a 18-month-old German Shorthaired Pointer in Fort Pierce , FL, who needs $2,000 for Laser Surgery.

Ducky is one of two dogs in my family, the other being his sister Milly. We adopted him from the same breeder about a year ago and he immediately fit right in.

Ducky enjoys being outside, running and playing with his sister and going for car rides with the window down. He sleeps in the bed with me, and goes everywhere with me. He loves his chest being rubbed and to give nibbles and kisses.

Ducky is very shy when he first meets you but when he warms up he usually will climb in your lap and love on you. He has two sides, wide open and crazy or lazy. He is a bit “special” to me and his family and we love him for it. He does smile when it’s time for bed and he’s getting pets.

Ducky had an accident on February 29th 2024 while he was outside supposedly going potty. When he came inside he was not walking on his back leg and I decided to take him to the vet the next day because he was in allot of pain. He has a torn CCL and it requires surgery. We are looking for the best and most affordable option but surgery in itself is estimated 5,000$.

This is a sudden major expense and it would mean allot for ducky to be able to continue to have a good quality of life with surgery. I am an athlete and have been injured myself, and even with my support and team it is a big stretch.
