About this campaign

Duet is the daughter of my husband’s favorite cat, Sammiii. Sammiii was very bonded to him but didn’t like living with multiple cats. After nursing her kittens, she chose to leave and never returned. Duet is the last connection he has to her, which is why she means so much to him, especially now.

She was hit by a car and suffered a fractured right hind leg and a slipped disc in her spine. She’s in pain and needs urgent treatment to stabilize her injuries and prevent further damage. Or she will be paralyzed.

She isn’t just another pet to my husband — she represents the bond he had with the cat he loved most. Losing Sammiii was already painful, and Duet has always been the piece of her that stayed with us. That’s why her injury today is hitting him so hard.

We are currently homeless and living in our car with no income. We’re doing everything we can to care for our animals, but we have no financial resources available right now, which makes it extremely hard to handle an emergency like this.
