Duke is a 8 year old Labrador Retriever in Aptos, , who needs $10,000 for Intestinal Blockage.

Duke has been such an amazing companion from day one. He is a true cuddler and never passes up an opportunity to share his happiness. He was adopted when we had just lost our previous lab to cancer, and he filled a large void in our family. He is everything you would want in a lab, except he likes to eat things that he shouldn’t.

He is currently in the emergency veterinary clinic with a blockage in his intestines. We don’t know what it is, but he fell ill pretty quickly because of it. He has had fluids and being monitored for now.

Our family just isn’t the same without him, and we can’t imagine it. We have another dog, Poppy, who is awaiting his return home to us. He loves to go anywhere we go and always wants to sneak a hug.

He has done this another time before, when he was 2 years old, and we were in a better place financially and could easily decide to pay the extreme amount for surgery. Now we don’t have the same resources and need help.
