About this campaign
Duke came into our life as a young pup. He had many brother's and sisters who were all adopted. He was left behind and we knew he was the one for us. Duke is currently 10 and the past year has been a tough one for him. He has been through many treatments and his life has changed drastically in a matter of months. He can't run and play as much as he used to and we miss his happy and chipper times.
Duke is the kindest boy in the world. He senses when other's are down, he senses when any situation is tense but nonetheless, he is always present to make anything better with his presence. He has a turtle brother he loves to take naps with and he tries to be as gentle as possible. Having Duke in our lives has healed our home in ways nothing else ever could.
Over the past year, I have accumulated over $10,000 in veterinary expenses to eliminate his cancer. It has been tough to get Duke the help he needs and any donations would mean the world to us so that he may get back to being his healthy and happy self.
Over the past year Duke was diagnosed with a large cancerous Soft Tissue Sarcoma tumor on his right elbow. After receiving many opinions, Duke is not a candidate for amputation due to an underlying spinal issue. His hind legs are not cooperating or responding much and he needs and MRI to diagnose the reason why. Duke is forced to sit out on many moments because he can't run and play as he used.
Duke has lost many humans along the way, but he still truly adores the ones who have stayed. Always waiting by the door with immense excitement even if we leave for a small moment, he lives to be beside you and share with you. Coming home is always the best part of my day, and I miss being able to take him on his daily walks. As I am sure he does too.
