Duke is a 9 year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Unfortunately, Duke was born with a heart murmur. My family adopted Duke and his brother, Jake, about 9 years ago. They are my true and very best friends. They have been with me through many heartaches and milestones. They are the best boys in the entire word. I don't know one person or animal they have encountered who they do not love.

Duke was diagnosed with congestive heart failure this past weekend. My family and my hearts are absolutely torn apart and our worlds flipped upside down. Fortunately, this heart failure can be cured with a surgery. Unfortunately, the surgery costs $45,000. I am praying for help with this surgery so our guy can have the full life he deserves.

Duke is the sweetest boy you will ever meet. He loves to cuddle and give hugs. Duke's brother, Jake, is deaf so Jake depends on Duke to keep himself safe as well! If we save Duke, we can also save Jake.

Unfortunately, our family has not had the best luck with our health (cancer) within the past year. We are very healthy people, but even healthy people have setbacks. I am out of school 4 years and have not saved up enough money to help our little guy due to the suddenness.
