Duke is a 5 year old German Shepherd Dog in Rochester, NY, who needs $5,400 for Surgery.

Duke came to me at a little over 7 weeks old. I always say that I didn't go get him, he came to us. Then he chose me to be his person. While he loves everyone in the family with all of his being, he is my best guy, and I make sure to tell him often.

Unfortunately, he began to have seizures just before he turned 5. Unexplained and hard to diagnose where they come from. A little over a week ago, he had a seizure while resting on my couch. Unfortunately, our other dog tried to get him to come out of it and was too rough on him causing some life-threatening injuries that required emergency surgery and a Cornell visit.

Duke loves all of the closest people and pets with all that he has. And his squeaky pig more than anything. He will play with that or a ball all day long. Right now, even through the pain, incisions and recovery, he still brings me the stinky squeaky pig and gets really frustrated when I won't throw it for him.

This was a tragic accident that went really wrong. Unfortunately, the cost of the hospital stay and surgery is more than I have to cover. He will continue to have follow up appointments to check the progress and hopefully he will be back to some sort of normal.
