Duncan is a 7 year old American Staffordshire Terrier in St. Pete Beach, FL, who needs $2,000 for Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy 40-80 Lbs.

I met Duncan in 2017 when he was about 8 months old at the animal shelter in charlotte, NC where he was picked up off the street with his mom, brother and 2 sisters. His mom was pregnant, his brother was euthanized and as soon as I met him I knew I couldn’t leave him there. He and I spent almost 3 more yrs in Charlotte before moving down to St Pete Beach, FL where we live in a 1 bedroom apartment

Duncan tore both of his back CCL’s playing, the first tore in late November 2023, we tried to let it heal, but it wasn’t healing and got surgery in early April. He developed a bone infection after healing from that surgery which has caused the need for the leg to be fixed with more stabilization and a new tplo. Island Life Animal Hospital is our vet.

Duncan is the sweetest boy, he originally hurt his leg playing with his girlfriend, Brixton. He is a favorite among friends and dog lovers. He loves to cuddle and eat peanut butter. All the butt scratches you can give, he will take. He loves to run and play and go to the beach.

I am a single woman, living in St Pete Beach where the cost of living has risen 7% in the last 3 yrs. My rent went up $400/month. I don’t have any savings. Duncan is my world. He deserves to be able to run again!
