Dunkin is a 6-month-old Domestic Shorthair Kitten in East Lansing, MI, who needs $800 for Dental Extractions.

About a year ago, my therapist encouraged me to get an emotional support animal as I went through my college journey. This year, I finally made the plunge and picked out Dunkin from a local adoption agency. He caught my heart immediately as he hadn't been adopted due to his little droopy eye. What he can't do with his eye, he does with his big personality! He currently lives in my college dorm.

Dunkin's favorite activities are snuggling and purring. He's a sweet boy who wants to spend time on my lap constantly (trouble arises when I try to do my college work on my laptop, he thinks the moving keys are pretty fun). He loves his blue tent and loves to roll around inside in, or be swung around while he sits inside. He also adores his orange pumpkin, as pictured. He's a lover, not a fighter!

Dunkin's favorite time of day is 11:00 at night. This time is truly his witching hour, and he celebrates by several quick laps around my dorm room. After, he leaps onto my bed (normally from under the pillows) and snuggles up by my shoulder to let me know all is well and it's time for bed. He's the most affectionate cat I've ever met, and his big personality is loved my all who meet him.

Dunkin went in for what was supposed to be a regular kitten check up. But when the vet looked at his teeth, he presented with lots of gingival swelling and pain. He has severe stomatitis (infection in the gum and bone) and requires extensive dental surgery. The vet will remove the inflamed gums and extract any problematic teeth (probably most of them). But he will live a happy, pain-free life!

I am currently a third year college student with big dreams of going to vet school. As a student, I don't have the money or consistent income to cover an expense like this. To keep. my sweet boy beside me for the rest of my college journey would mean the world.
