Dustin is a 4-year-old Longhair Tuxedo Cat in Eugene , OR, who needs $1,500 for Eye Removal surgery.

Dustin was crying & found hiding in a blackberry bush when she was about 2 wks old. I already had a 1 year old kitty at the time but nursing Dusty to health and watching her grow into the strong sweet kitty she is, It was ment to be I had to keep her. The vet first told me she was actually a boy so the name Dustin seemed fitting but the day of her spay the vet said it was a typo “he”was a she.

She has always been a very anxious kitty I think her life outside traumatized her, I’m a nervous person too so our personalities bonded we are each others safe place. Dusty loves to play with anything that crinkles, she loves paper bags, toy mice, but her favorite is stuffed sloth she had as a kitten. She’s sleeps right next to my pillow every night and sometimes under the blankets with me!

She loves the sun and watches the birds outside on the patio in the morning. She’s obsessed with bugs she will play with a fly all night. My other cat loves having a buddy to play with they are so close in age they adapted to being siblings well. I love seeing them run around the house chasing each other and then curling up for an afternoon nap together.

I went in for a routine yearly appointment and found out dustin completely lost sight in her right eye and it needs to come out Immediately. They told me she developed early Cataracs in the one eye but there could also be a tumor behind her eyeball, but they won’t know for sure until they take it completely out and biopsy it. Its very painful they put her on antibiotics until I can afford surgery.

I work a full time job as a home care provider and put in applications for a second job as well as trying to get my CNA license. Bills have been pulling my under I am very frugal with my money and I still don’t have enough to cover all these vet bill expenses.
