Dusty is about 7 years old he is a pomeranian mix. I adopted Dusty from animal control with no other information other than he might be 2yrs old and he was rescued from an abusive situation. We worked so hard to get the bond we currently have. It was alot of work and time to get him trusting and to come out of his shell.

Dusty is the only pet in the home and my toddlers best friend. He adores my mother and especially my grandmother. He is the sweetest and most gentle boy and has come such a long way. He loves to follow my toddler around and play fetch with her. He checks on her while she sleeps and loves to curl up and lay with everyone.

During this Covid pandemic financially dustys medical needs can not be met. I already have bills from the 7 months of care. Through all this dusty physical appearance has changed but he remains bright and happy and the same loving boy he has always been.

Recently Dustys body started to break down causing low blood platelets and spontaneously brushing. I rushed him to Ocean State Animal Hospital in Rhode Island for a 4th opinion. We repeated and reexamined all test and stabilized dustys platelets and clotting disorder. It has been discovered that dusty needs his gallbladder removed due to infection and a liver biopsy to check for liver damage and function

7months ago Dusty became I'll with vomiting on and off. Soon we discovered he was experiencing liver enzyme elevation which turned him jaundice and he lost his appetite. With multiple testing and blood work every 2 weeks dusty was put on multiple steroids antibiotics and vitamins. Never fully resolving the issue or giving a true finding of the cause even after 3 medical specialist opinions.
