About this campaign
This is Ebony, our 5 year old mini lab. Ebony came into our life shortly after Christmas of 2018. We had a 13 year black lab (Tasha) with separation anxiety and were looking to get a mate for her. We came across Ebony’s photo and knew we had to have her. We lost Tasha only 6 months after Ebony joined our family.
Ebony has been our unofficial therapy dog for the past 4 years. She’s a an innocent little mischievous girl. She has licked our tears of sadness and healed our broken hearts everyday since our lab Tasha passed. To our vet, Ebony is a shy girl but at home she’s an energetic little bronco. We cannot imagine our life without her.
Ebony is a typical lab. She loves her food and is ready for playtime with her pink frisbee everyday. She romps in the yard with her husband Teddy (he is a 9 year old rescue black lab that we took in 4 years ago).
We are now facing an uncertain future for Ebony. A mass has developed on her right paw and she is in need of a biopsy immediately. We trust Ebony’s vet Dr. Mercer and Hillcrest Animal Hospital to guide us along the journey we will have to take with Ebony.
We have exhausted our finances over multiple vet visits over the last 2 weeks for medications and necessary testing to treat her paw. We do not have the needed funds immediately for this urgent biopsy. Our hearts break everyday watching Ebony go through all of this.
