About this campaign

I adopted Echo January 2015 when he was 3 months old. I lost my previous dog 1.5 years prior due to a random snake bite out in our yard. I live with chronic Lyme, so having an animal companion is extremely important for me. Echo has a spoiled lifestyle, before getting sick, he had his own room, he currently has a dedicated space in the house with wall padding and non slip floor padding.

Echo has always been a pretty lazy dog, so laying around and receiving pets and treats was his typical day. Before getting sick, Echo would play with the neighbors dog for a maximum of 10 mins and that’s it, he’d be ready to go back inside and lay down. He still receives pets and treats but with some struggle.

Echo is a very smart pup, which also concerns me now, because I know he fully understands that something terrible has happened to him. When he was a baby, I was amazed at how fast he caught on to potty training, he had at the most 3 accidents in the house while learning, and after that, no more accidents.

About 7 months ago Echo began having trouble with stairs, I assumed it was just joint pain. When I took him for his grooming appointment, they said they weren’t comfortable grooming him because he was extremely disoriented. He had an MRI that determined he has some cerebellar issues going on. He’s currently doing acupuncture at Healing Paws, and water therapy at Aquatic Paws.

For the last 10 years I’ve personally been struggling with Lyme which has ruined every part of my life. I’m currently on disability and exhausting all finances to get Echo better. Mentally nor physically could I handle losing him at any point but especially not right now,
