Ella is a 5-year-old Labrador Mix in McChord AFB, WA, who needs $1,200 for Optimum Active Wellness Plan/ Xray.

While we were stationed in Alaska we were looking for family companion and we browsed around the local area and we stumbled upon an Alaska Bully Rescue event. It was during this time we saw a black lab mix and my wife identified that this was the one. Her name was Ella was given by daughter Alex and she became apart of the family from that time on. What made her special was her marking on her paw.

Ella is an adventurous dog who loves to go on walks and hikes. She is nervous in the car when we go on car rides, but settles after a while. She loves to be around the family whenever we are hanging out. Whether that’s watching a moving or just simply sitting at the dinner table eating. She is very affectionate and constantly wants to be petted by putting her head under your hand to remind you.

Ella is special by the way she loves to get your attention whenever she wants to go outside to go potty or whether that is she wants to go for a walk by standing/ sitting by her leash by the door. She also loves to play tug a war with anything that she has in her mouth. She is relentless and full of energy and makes me laugh when she does her zooming around the backyard.

We are looking to get Ella seen so that we can find out if she surgery. We have taken her to the local Banfield Hospital where she has been seen before and we have fell behind on her care for financial reasons and now it is hard to get her the necessary attention she need for her injury that occurred in our backyard while she was zooming. She came up limping and don’t know what’s wrong with her.

We have a sudden vehicle expense where we had to take our vehicle into the shop to be fixed and has made our budget very tight with no emergency fund to tap into to get Ella properly taken care of.
