Ella is a 4-year-old Lab Mix in Roanoke, VA, who needs $1,700 for kidney disease checks.

My pets name is Ella! She has been my saving grace for the last 4 years. My now husband suprised me with her as a birthday gift 4 years ago. She was a rescue puppy! And she has been my best friend since day one! We named her Ella because she reminded me of Cinderella! We joke and say she’s such a princess! She truly is!

Ell is the sweetest baby you’d ever come across. She doesn’t bark but yet she’s very protective of me. She adores my mom and her daddy! She loves giving you kisses and pawing at you to get her rubies! She loves her belly being rubbed. Ella has been by my side through it all! She was with me when I was sick, when we had to make a drastic move, and even though out my hard college days.

Sadly with covid we are on a tight budget. Ella is being seen now at a local vets office once a week for kidney issues. And her medications and food is very expensive we already paid so much for her emergency visit and just don’t have much left for everything else.

Ella on 7/9/2021 was diagnosed with lymes disease. On 8/9 we noticed her gums turned pale which isn’t good. We took her to the vet Pet Health Clinic where they did a serious of test all of which were not good. She had high kidney values. Love WBC, low red blood cells and anemia. She had to stay in a local animal hospital for 2 days. Her final diagnosis is thrombocytopenia and nephropathy.

Ella is beyond special to us! She’s not just an animal in our eye but truly family! She give the sweetest kisses, and always greets me at the door by wagging her butt and tail with a toy in her mouth. She loves to hear her own name. And time you say “Ella baby” she comes running right to you shaking her butt and wagging her tail. She’s the happiest girl ever!
