Ella is a 2-year-old Vizsla in Tipp City, OH, who needs $2,000 for Portosystemic Liver Ligation.

We found Ella at a breeder in 2018 and fell in love with her. She is the light of our life. She loves to play with our older dog (min pin - 13) and 2 cats. She has a good size yard to run in and loves to give kisses.

Ella is so smart. She knows where her food is and goes straight to the closet when hungry. She has a doggie door that she goes in and out of to run and play. At night she sleeps in her crate next to her sister (the min pin). She loves to chase the cats, though the feeling is not mutual. She loves to lay on our laps and go for walks and runs.

With the diagnosis, internal specialist, ultrasounds, etc. The surgery that needs to be done to keep her alive is up to $7400. We are doing fundraisers to help curb this expense.

In July/Aug 2020 Ella started staring at the walls and pawing at them. We could not get her away from it. Her eating had slowed down and would not come to us. We got her to our vet at Tipp City Veterinary Hospital. Dr. Brunson ran test on her and her ammonia level was 3 times higher that normal. It was determined that she had liver shunt. That was hard to grasp.

Ella loves when it snows outside. She stands at the sliding glass door and reaches out to catch the snow flakes in her mouth. She will do this until she gets cold and then do it again. She loves to play in the water. Her daddy will get the hose out and Ella will run at the hose and bite the water and jump through it. It is the most comical thing.
