Ellie is a 7 year old Yorkshire Terrier in Alexandria , VA, who needs $2,000 for ACL/CCL, Meniscal Tear & Medial Patella Surgery.

Our sweet rescue dog Ellie came into our lives and completed our family when we adopted her from a shelter on October 13th, 2020. Staff members at the animal shelter had named her Elilis, for the period she was in their care. We thought Ellie suited her cute face and personality better and she seemed to respond to it pretty quickly.

Ellie recently got injured when she excitedly jumped off the couch to show her love & affection to her family member. Since then, she’s non weight baring of her left hind leg & is in pain. It breaks our hearts to see our fur baby suffering. She’s on pain & anti inflammatory medications.
She’s needs surgery to repair her ACL/CCL, meniscal tear & medial patella luxation for better quality of life.

Ellie was the missing puzzle piece to complete our family. Her snuggles, affectionate personality, very expressive ears & eyes, cute vocalizations, the way she puts her little nose under your hand to push it up to make it land on her head to be petted, just makes everyone’s heart so happy. Despite all of the trauma she suffered before her adoption, she still shows us her unconditional love.

Due to some unexpected & sudden expenses, Ellie’s medical treatments, including her 3 dental surgeries (last one was just in July ‘24) we had to use up our emergency funds. We hope hope to get the needed funds to pay for Ellie’s surgery. She deserves only the best in life!
