I rescued Ellie after I lost my 2 best friends I had 15 years. I never thought I could love another dog. I found Ellie at the shelter and knew instantly she was mine. I have had her 2 years now and I can’t imagine my life with her not in it. She is so sweet and loves her family so much.

I recently received the news that Ellie has heartworm. It shattered me to hear this because I give her heartworm preventative every month. I did not realize that the last few months she exceeded the weight. I think this is why she was infected. I feel so hopeless and sad for her. I want to save her from this horrible diagnosis.
