About this campaign

Ellie Mae came into our life in 2018 when she and her sister were rescued at 3 years old. From the moment they arrived, their gentle souls filled our world with love, laughter, and loyalty.

Originally named Elsa and Ana we changed thrir names to Ellie Mae and Anna Belle. Unfortunately, Anna passed away in 2024.

Ellie also has a 3 year old Shih Tzu brother named Marvin.

Ellie Mae is a 10½-year-old Golden Retriever who developed two large masses. One on her right leg, another on her rib cage. The rib area mass has opened and needs daily cleaning due to bloody drainage. Both require surgical removal to prevent infection and relieve her discomfort.

Ellie has blood work scheduled at Dr. Kelly's Surgical Unit on November 10th with surgery potentially the week after.

Ellie Mae is a gentle, golden-hearted girl who loves walks, rolling in the grass, and greeting everyone she meets with a wag and a smile. She brings warmth and joy to everyone around her. Loud noises scare her — fireworks and thunder send her running for comfort — but her loving nature always shines through.

Unfortunately, due to the current government shutdown, our household income has been impacted and has made covering her surgical costs very difficult.
