Ellie is a 3-year-old Pembroke Welsh Corgi in Reno, NV, who needs $2,000 for CHOP Chemotherapy.

Ellie was born July 7th, 2020 and was adopted during Covid-19 that same August. Being the height of the Covid lockdowns, she was given far more attention than she should have, but she never complained. I am lucky my other dog Mia has been a wonderful foster mom (they have since become bonded) and my cat Mittens who, on more than one occasion, played host to Ellie's wrestling partner and playmate.

Ellie is probably one of the most independent and judgmental Corgis I have ever met. She enjoys looking down from any vantage point with a piercing gaze that hints undertones of a deep affection that will melt your heart quicker than butter on a stack of hot waffles. Beneath her ridged exterior is a playful, loving, and most of all quirky "Nugget" that everyone immediately falls in love with.

Upon meeting Ellie its easy to see why she's such a magnanimous figure. Little dog syndrome quickly comes to mind. Thinking she's the size of a Bull Mastiff, she has no problem attempting to protect the entire family and turning heads all along the way. Behind closed doors is a different story. The once proud and towering corgi sheds her mask to dawn a heart of gold overshadowing that mammoth ego.

Ellie was diagnosed with Juvenile Lymphoma this week. In order for her to have the best chance at survival, she will need CHOP chemotherapy. We are hoping to have treatment at is Baring Blvd. Veterinary Hospital Wellness Center and are working with the veterinarian Robert Baker. I have been informed that the treatment has a high success rate with fewer side effects, especially at her age.

In order for her to receive proper treatment, it will cost roughly $11,000 for CHOP chemotherapy. Being that she is only 3, I feel that she deserves a fighting chance to enjoy more of what life has to offer. She has been a ray of sunshine in an otherwise cloudy world.
