About this campaign
We adopted our Elsa this past Thursday at 8 weeks old from C&H rescue upstate NY. I brought her home knowing she is blind and deaf. I was informed on Saturday morning that her littermate had parvo so I immediately brought her to the doctor. She and my 3 other dogs tested negative for parvo. Last night she got really sick and we admitted her to LIVS in Plainview NY to be treated.
We have three other dogs. Bailey is also a special needs Australian Shepherd mix. We also have Jack Daniel and Moana. Our dogs are our whole world. We love them like children. We just want our Elsa to come home to us. Her siblings already live her and so do we. Her life is worth saving and she is a part of us.
The Rescue we got Elsa from suggested we put her down. I refuse. We want to fight for her. We aren't in a financial position to take this all on ourselves so we are asking for help. She's worth it. She already apart of us. She's super smart and sweet. We love her.
We got Elsa Thursday. On Saturday we rushed her to Banfield in Farmingdale, NY as soon as we learned her littermates were parvo positive. She tested negative but on Monday evening she was sick vomiting and diarrhea. It came on fast and we knew it was parvo. She went back to Banfield and tested positive for parvo. Now she is being treated at Long Island Veterinary Specialists in Plainview NY.
Elsa is a diluted merle. Due to bad breeding she is deaf and blind. We knew this when adopting her. She has limitations but she's perfect to us. She's very fiesty and SMART. she's a total Mama's girl already. We want to give her a real fighting chance at life. We are praying and want to bring her home.
