Emmett is a 4 year old American Shorthair in Lebanon , TN, who needs $350 for Exam, Antibiotics, and Painkillers.

My sweet baby Emmett was born to a half-feral Momma who did not want to be a parent. Emmett had to be bottle fed and kept warm in a soft towel up against my chest. These actions helped Big Em' grow to be an incredibly affectionate, 15 lb Tom (his Daddy was a hoss, too). Emmett is a chatty, loving, (drooling), and hefty boi that would capture your heart in an instant.

Mr. Emmett suffers from flea allergies and will chew his backside raw if he is given the opportunity. Sadly, my family's funds were stretched too far (disability) and we weren't able to get his flea treatment in a timely manner, and he ended up chewing his backside to the point of an infection in his hips. While there is no surface abscess, I know he is in pain.

My Emmett was a rescue of sorts; his Mother wouldn't allow him to attach and he had to be bottle fed. He is a sweet baby boy who isn't afraid to slam his big ol' head into your open hand. His biscuits may be sharp - but he works overtime to make sure his Mama (me) is taken care of.

I live with my step-father who gets disability. I have no income, (and are also disabled,) and our bills have made us struggle more than once. We often visit the food bank and pick up donations from the pet pantry in town to feed my cats.
