Empress came home Jan. 14, 2018 from a lovely rescue (Felines & Canines). When I held her in my arms, I knew I had to adopt her. Ever since, she's been a true Empress : talkative, energetic, commanding presence that requires everyone to pay attention to her, and determined during feeding time. She truly lights up my life. Even my boyfriend, not really a cat person, has become so attached to her.

Cabinets, chairs, even in an old box that I don't have the heart to throw away, it's all a bed to Empress. When it comes to toys, she adores her string toy ; we can be playing for hours and she'll never get bored. If there's something that catches her attention on TV, she'll attempt to catch it, bapping at the screen with her "mighty" paws! That'll show the pixels whose boss!

Empress LOVES to talk. She'll have conversations with anyone who has the time - even if you don't, she'll make you! She's also a huge snuggler, often perching herself on my shoulder, her throne, just because. Empress likes to annoy my boyfriend by acting like she'll knock things off the table, staring right at him while she does it! When it gets to the edge, she walks away. Total Diva.

Since adoption, Empress has so much trouble eating. I've had to switch her to wet food permanently. Even then sometimes she has problems. At first, I thought it was her inoperable hematoma in her inner ear causing issues; it can press on her jaw sometimes. A recent visit to her veterinarian has given me insight that it's actually dental. The problem teeth need to be pulled.

My boyfriend is on short term disability due to a broken hand (work incident). As of right now, we're a one income home. It would mean the world to me for Empress eat without discomfort. She's my best friend and I wish I could give her the care she deserves. Thank you.
