About this campaign
We brought Epic home as a puppy and he has been in our lives for 10 wonderful years. He lives peacefully with 3 card and recently lost his best fur friend of 9 years very suddenly earlier this year. We recently rescued a young, red female husky to provide some comfort and company to get him off the couch and playing again.
Epic loves to chase after his blue squeeky ball in the yard and play tug of war down the hallway with us. He enjoys leisurely walks around the neighborhood, and hiking in Colorado and New Mexico. His favorite spot is on the leather couch under the ac vent where it's coldest. Epic loves treats, and even learned to count how many fingers we're holding up (up to 5) in barks for them!
Epic is a gentle, sweet soul. He aims to please everyone he meets by showing off his tricks, big smile, wagging tail, and his polite behavior. His markings are unique and catch attention. Kids love asking him to count and getting lots of face kisses from him. He's playful like a puppy, always bringing us a toy from his basket and becomes giddy when we grab the leash. It's hard to believe he's 10!
Epic has always been a healthy and active dog. I work at Banfield as a vet tech. He has been on Adequan injections for roughly two years to keep his joints healthy as he ages. On his way to greet me at the door after work, he slipped and injured his rear right leg. Radiographs show that he ruptured his cruciate, requiring a TPLO surgery to fix at BluePearl Specialty Hospital with Dr. Mezzles.
My husband was laid off in June, and we haven't been able to contribute to our veterinary emergency fund as a result. We had a dog pass away earlier this year too. Epic's injury was suddenand unexpected. Taking him walking in nature again would help heal our whole family.
