Ernie is a 7 year old Havanese in Hamilton , VA, who needs $1,000 for Dental Extraction.

We were pretty sure we didn’t want any pets. But, we met our friend’s Havanese, Rosie and we fell in love. A family in a nearby town needed to find a home for their puppy due to allergies, so we decided to bend on our decision and Ernie came into our lives.

Since we got Ernie, he has had some unique medical needs. At 4 months, he had a Torsed testicle that required emergency surgery to repair and neuter him. That was very unexpected $2500 bill. Now, he has 2 molars that are infected and need to be removed and the cost is close to $2000. We have taken him to Loudoun Veterinary Hospital in our nearby town for care for the past few years.

Ernie is a character. Everyone who knows him, loves him. He has a unique relationship with a stuffed hedgehog on a nightly basis. He loves our friend’s Havanese, Rosie who is his best friend. He also loves to go to the beach with his Boston friend, Millie.

We were hit with some unexpected water damage in the fall, that set us back $10k. That, coupled with a kid in college and my father’s unexpected passing have been a bit overwhelming for us.
