About this campaign

My family received Eva from a family friend when she was only about 5-6 weeks old, and she’s been with us ever since. This coming November will be 9 years that Eva has been with us. From her first litter of puppies, we decided to keep one, a boy (Kimbo), and they have been inseparable since birth. They truly have a mother and son bond, and are best friends.

Eva is a fun dog and friendly, wanting to always play tug of war with her rope with anyone whose willing, or wrestle with her best friend Kimbo (our 2nd dog). She also likes to relax, as she will stretch out wherever she feels at the moment, which is usually in a place where we have to step over her. Even though she has a bed, her favorite place to sleep is on a huge stuffed panda.

Eva is a very loving dog. She comforts whoever is around whenever she thinks we need it by resting her head in our laps and putting one paw on our knee, really making you feel better in that moment. In return, all she wants are belly rubs (her favorite), or treats (also her favorite). She can really turn the day around just being herself.

After noticing a lump in the breast/abdomen area and experiencing some digestive complications (turned out to be constipation), we took a visit to our vet at Nichols Veterinary Clinic, and they determined that it was in fact a cancerous breast tumor. X-rays show that it has not spread, so the best course of action is to remove the tumor.

I’ve had my own battle with breast cancer, and due to my own health problems, I don’t have any income and rely on my children for financial needs. Due to their own financial struggles, I need assistance in paying for Eva’s surgery.
