Eva was one of puppies born in the countryside of Italy. She spent her early years traveling between italy and Virginia. As she got a little older, she lived full time in VA with my mom. In 2016 my sister and I both moved back to VA. So the household now is two adults, a 2-1/2 year old and a baby on the way. She was going to Woofy Wellness once a week where she could interact with other dogs.

Eva loves sprinting out the back door and barking as she does laps looking for squirrels to chase. Being outside galloping is her favorite thing. She is one fast dog. Her other favorite thing is begging for food or getting in her share of pets. The toddler might be pushing Eva, she takes it as love. Sometimes we take her running in a field, where she can really gallop. Food, running, love = Eva.

With Covid, my sister has been on furlough since March, and about to have a baby. So money is tight. When Eva got sick, we had to pay up front or they wouldn't treat her. She will have to be on medication, but they still aren't sure of the cause, so it requires more tests.

She has always been so bouncy, that when she she started to struggle one day, we ended up at the emergency vet. Her heart rate was around 350 beats per minute. It was touch and go for two days while they tried to bring it down. At release, it was still over 150 (they wanted 120) but we couldn't afford another night. She seemed better, so we were shocked when the 24 hour vest showed irregular beats

We recently started to make Eva howl. It allows her to get a little energy out, and became a family thing. The toddler loves to get her going. Too funny. She learned to jump up (revalé) instead of on people. And the way she gallops like a horse when she really gets going in an open field - I can feel her joy with the freedom it brings. Even though she is 10, she has the energy of a puppy.
