Expresso Jean Bean came into my life as it was falling apart. She was with Grassroots Rescue after being pulled from a kill shelter in NC. I was leaving my almost 10 year relationship. She would hug me as i cried and play with me to cheer me up. In turn, i spoiled her! Together, we have explored all of DE, NJ beaches, Niagara Falls, West Virginia, and North Carolina. She is my best friend! ♥️

Even though Expresso teated negative for Heartworms just prior to me adopting her and given Proheart injection to prevent them, she tested positive at her annual appointment 11/14/24 through Windcrest Animal Hospital in Wilmington, DE. She is on full exercise restriction and will undergo 6 months of treatments starting in January after a month of antibiotics. Her cough has already started.

Expresso is a love bug. She is gentle and kind. She knows when her people are upset and will do anything to make them smile. She loves to run, hike, and play ball, so she is super sad that she isn’t allowed to run for 8-9 months. She is a favorite of all the neighborhood kids and my students because she is such a loving dog. She is my family and my best friend. I can’t lose her.
