Fenix is a 3-year-old Lab Mix in Centerville, GA, who needs $400 for Heartworm Treatment.

Fenix came into our lives from a pet adoption through PetSmart. He had been adopted previously but they tried to sell him so he was recovered and put back up for Adoption. That’s how he was able to join our family. He’s a VERY smart, gentle boy who loves head scratches and fetching his squeaky toy. We named him Fenix after Marcus Fenix in GOW, & because like a Phoenix, he received a 2nd chance.

Fenix loves to sleep in the corner of our sun porch. He’s learned to sit instead of jump if he wants his beloved head scratches. He likes to play with our other dog AND our cat. He’s a sweet boy who likes fetch but hates baths. He loves his dog treats but doesn’t like car rides too much. When I’m outside putting clothes up, he’s RIGHT there in protect mode. I just don’t want to lose my fur baby.

Fenix is afraid of water. We think he was abused previously. He doesn’t bark, growl, or bite. Not even at the vet office. He just wants to play with everyone he meets, whether they have 2 feet or 4 paws. Every time I take Fenix’s photo (if he sees me) it seems he poses with a smile. He’s a bigger, happier boy than when we first got him. I included his photo from then in the profile (green leash).

I’m looking for additional funds to cover Fenix’s heartworm treatment. It’s in the early stages and is treatable, but I’m short by approximately $400 to pay for his full treatment needed for recovery. His vet office is Southwood Animal Hospital. While I have most of the $$, I recently had to pay to update my home electrical and my other animals also had their annual checkups. I wasn’t quite prepared for such a large expense so soon after.
