I drove over 3 hours to get Fern when she was 8 was old. She got her name from the movie Fern Gully. She is 2 1/2 years old and has a chihuahua mix as a best friend, they absolutely love each other. She also has a mini aussie she loves so much and doesn't like being away from. And she loves our 10 yr old Son who is on the spectrum.

Fern had to have obstruction surgery at 11 months old and had to have 4 inches of intestines removed already. She has a forgin body and has to have surgery to remove it. Shes been on fluids to 2 days and sick for nearly 4 days and unable to pass the object on her own. If she doe not have it she will die. She see Dr. Jake Graham at VCA Highlands Animal Hospital in Abingdon, Va.

She is such a sweet loving girl who absolutely loves to do tricks and get lots of treats. She will let my 2 year old neice walk her around my her collar and shes so gentle with her. She goes to work with me everyday and loves everyone in the VCA hospital I work at. You can't help but love her when you get to know her. Shes just a happy outgoing girl.

We are unable to pay for the surgery due to no emergency funds. We just had a new door put on our house because the last one wouldn't shut and rain would come inside from it. Financially we just cannot afford surgery.
