About this campaign
Fifi has been in our life since she was 3 months old. She is now 11 years old and needs a bit more help than our strained budget will allow. She has a great vet and gets really good care but needs a leg amputated due to a cancerous tumor. I'm hoping you could help! She needs to have a leg amputation that we can't afford.
Fifi may be 11 years old but she is an active senior who likes to go on walks, kayak rides, and play with her furbaby siblings. She is just in a bit of pain right now that is slowing her down so we want her to have the best quality of life with the time she has left and that involves leg amputation.
We are a financially challenged couple living on SSI and LTD. It's been hard to keep up with everything. We live very frugally and don't hesitate to throw a couple hundred dollars every few months towards our dogs' healthcare expenses, but the amputation is above our pay grade.
Fifi is currently being seen at Little River Veterinary Clinic by Dr. Hagar for osteosarcoma (bone cancer). We are discussing Zoledronate infusions, but amputating the leg is still recommended. The x-ray didn't show signs it's moved to her lungs so time is of the essence. I'm hoping she can enjoy the time she has left with less pain.
She loves toys squeaky toys to be exact. She likes treats but prefers they are homemade. She gets her meals cooked from veggies out the garden, barley, and local hunted meat. Very smart dog but uses it to be cute and manipulative. She is the oldest but has a rat terrier mix brother and a St. Bernard sister. She is spoiled and silly and the love of our lives.
