Fiji is a 8-year-old Dachshund in Winter Haven, FL, who needs $712 for Dental Oral Exam and Prophy.

Fiji was a rescue!!! I found her on a busy highway. This was about 4 years ago. I was on my way home and I see something moving in the street and I tell my mom “Hey ma there is something on the road” and the closer I got I realized it was a DOG!! I put my car in park and jumped out to save her!! The cars were driving super fast and a semi came so close to hitting her. But luckily I got her!

Fiji is the best!!! She is my best friend at home!! When it’s time to get off work and TV time she knows to hop on the couch and lay there with me. She gives my children and myself so much comfort and love! She’s a great furr baby. We love her. She’s very smart she know how to ask to go out and use the restroom. She’s very clean and neat

She’s special to me because she’s my first rescue. She’s there when no one else is! When I have a mental break down she rubs herself on me as if she was giving me a hug and she’s special for that reason! She’s also very much a smart girl that knows how to let herself be seen and she loves on you as long as you let her.

My baby girl currently has an abscess on her face due to her poor dental condition. I took her in when I seen it thinking she got stung but they confirmed with me that it was not a stinger it was an abscess. That needed to be removed for the swelling to come down.

I’m currently seeking employment. After covid it has been hard. And finding a sitter for night jobs is even harder. I have been looking but there’s really nothing out here that will work with my children’s schedule and I don’t have a car at the moment
