About this campaign
Finch lives with me and my sister. He is mostly my sister's cat, but we both rescued him and bottle fed him after our dad found him abandoned at 3 weeks old. My sister has some extreme mental health struggles, and Finch is basically the only thing keeping her going at this point. We rent our home and he lives with myself, my sister, and my service dog, Atlas.
Finch is the sweetest little thing! He loves to snuggle and is very active. He's a very curious little guy who always wants to know what's going on and what you're doing. He loves my dog, Atlas, who helped us raise Finch since he was a baby. They can often be found snuggling together or playing with each other.
Finch is probably one of the cutest cats I've ever met, with the sweetest little baby face. He loves to snuggle and is very silly, often running around the house at odd hours and climbing the cat trees and bookshelves. He likes to be mischievous and always wants to play. As mentioned previously, my sister has extreme mental health issues, and Finch is vital as an emotional support animal for her.
Around 4 AM Friday morning, Finch started throwing up and expelled part of a pink cat toy. We took him to the vet ASAP on Friday, and he was treated and sent home. Very early Saturday morning, he started throwing up again, so we took him to a different vet and they took x-rays, which showed an obstruction. They attempted to move the object with fluids, but ultimately he required surgery.
My sister and I are both disabled, relying only on my SSDI income and VA education benefits to get by each month. We struggle month-to-month, but Finch is the only thing keeping my sister going through her extreme mental health crisis.
