Finch is a five year old mixed breed blue eyed angel. She lives with her twin brother Martin, and is named for the purple and red finches that swooped over the garden shed where her mother left her and her siblings. Her brothers and sisters were adopted, and Finch lives with Martin at my mom’s house in South Knox! My mom is a widow, and a teachers aide, with limited income.

Finch had an accident in 2025, assumed to be a fall, that damaged her ribs, her internal organs, and the nerves in her right front leg. Much of the nerve damage healed with rest and medication, but poor Finch has to drag her dead foot. She has developed a constant wound from dragging her foot on the ground, and now requires amputation at Smoky Mountain Animal Clinic in Seymour, TN.

Finch is as beautiful as the birds she’s named for, and loves being outside with her brother Martin. Her favorite activities are lounging in the front garden, and getting scritches and scratches. She is a champion purrer and loves affection.

Finch is cared for entirely by my mom Sharon, who is a widow living on social security and the salary of a teachers aide. She has already incurred vet bills from Finch’s accident, and now faces another 1.2-3k dollar estimate for Finch’s amputation surgery.
