About this campaign
I got Finley when he was 8 weeks old from a rescue called Companion Pet Rescue (CPR). He was originally from Tennessee where he and his siblings were surrendered to a shelter by the original owner. CPR took him from the shelter and transported him to CT. I had been living alone and was longing for a companion. I attended a CPR adoption event and immediately fell in love with Finley!
Finley is an extremely gentle and loving pet. He loves his dog sister Gansett and both of his parents. He is a social butterfly and wants to be acknowledged anywhere he goes. You can find him giving you lots of kisses and smiling at you when you greet him. He loves to run, bask in the sun, and play tug of war with his toys.
This is a sudden major expense in which I do not have an emergency fund to take from. All I want is Finley to be able to run freely without the worry of him getting hurt again. He is my world and I would do anything for him❤️
Finley was referred to Pieper Memorial Vet to see a neurologist- Dr. Hammond. The doctor completed a MRI which revealed that Finley has severe nerve compression in his back in two areas: on his L45 and L56. Due to this, he has significant muscle atrophy in his back right hind leg and a loss of reflexes. He is unable to bear weight on his right back side. Surgery is needed to treat cure this issue.
Finley literally smiles when you walk through the door. Nothing tugs more at the heartstrings then seeing this when you get home from a long day of work. He loves his crate and cuddling up with the blankets inside. He is three years old and deserves a long, happy, life filled with days in the sun and running at the dog park.
