About this campaign
Finley is a family dog who has been passed between family members. He was originally a birthday present for my older sister. She moved into a home where she could not take him so, my mother kept him. I then moved home after college and took over his care. He is a rescue from the Humane Society and we love having him in our home!
Finley is a great pet! He is very anxious so, he does not do walks or activities outside of the house very well. He loves to be outside exploring the backyard and basking in the sun. Finley loves car ride where he can hang his head out of the window and feel the breeze. He is very quirky. An example is he is afraid of sneezes. He loves attention and asks for pets by pawing or licking you hand.
I work an hourly minimum wage job. I am approved to work 40 hours a week but, because I have to care for Finley and transport him I fear that 40 hours won't be achievable. I have already a lot of credit care space on his previous care and do not have much more to spare.
Finley was diagnosed with Right anal sac adenocarcinoma in July of 2020. We have gone through consultations, tests, and two surgeries for his care so far. Thankfully, we caught it early. The tumor was small and only one swollen lymph node needed to be removed. Now, we are seeking radiation treatment with WSU Veterinary Teaching Hospital. Hopefully we will also do Chemotherapy after.
Finley is a quirky and funny dog. He makes me laugh and smile almost everyday with his silly antics. Sometimes he runs so fast he slips around on the wood floor. He has even accidentally run into things because he is running so fast! He also makes me feel loved because he likes to cuddle. It is so nice to have him around to boost my moods!
