About this campaign
Finn came into our life as a puppy. He was raised with an older dog named Jaxon. They have always had a special bond and connection. When Finn was grown we added Olivia to our family. They were a bonded pair that never seperated. Olivia sadly passed away a year ago due to surgical complications. Since then, Finn has been busy teaching 2 new pups, Grace and Freya, how to be a good dogs.
Finn was showing signs of severe pain and restlessness, so we took him to the nearest animal ER and he was diagnosed there with a partially or completely torn cranial cruciate ligament (CCL) and will need TPLO surgery to get it fixed. This surgery can cost anywhere from $2,500-$10,000. Being older and large, Finn will likely be on the high end of this estimate.
Finn has saved our lives before. I would like to give him a long and happy life. One night we had left the gas burner on the stove. There were no flames, but natural gas was spilling out and we had no idea. Finn continued to bark at the oven until we finally realized what he was barking at. Once the oven was off, and we opened the windows, Finn stopped barking completely. I believe he saved us.
This is an unexpected, huge, emergent charge that we were not prepared for. I am getting married in 2 weeks and we just paid everything for that and there is little to nothing left. We are so worried about Finn and he is in so much pain. He deserves to be happy and running.
