About this campaign
Finn was rescued from a car engine by our daughter-in-law and brought to us when she and our son realized they couldn’t keep him. From the start, he bonded with our granddaughter and became part of our home. He’s been a quiet source of comfort through tough times a reminder that sometimes the ones we rescue end up rescuing us. He’s more than a pet he’s family, through and through.
Finn was always healthy until he suddenly became lethargic and started vomiting. We rushed him to BluePearl in Brandon, FL, where they found a life-threatening urinary blockage. He was hospitalized for days, then developed fluid around his heart and lungs. After being discharged, he blocked again and is now back in critical care fighting for his life.
Finn means a lot to our whole family he’s gentle, calm, and always seems to know when someone needs him. He bonded quickly with our granddaughter and brings a steady presence to our home. As a retired disabled veteran he has been the constant as I adjusted during my transition. He’s not just a pet he’s part of our daily life, our routines, and our support system. We all feel it when he’s not here.
We’ve spent $13,000 to keep Finn alive because we didn’t have a choice he’s family. I’m a retired disabled veteran & currently unemployed & the costs ahead are more than we can manage saving his life & bringing him home again would be something we will never forget thank you
