Our oldest son found him in a parking lot had burned his paws by trying to get into an engine. He was able to get him out and save him and brought him to us since his apartment didn't allow pets. I feel that I can't turn my back on Finn that it is just how I was trained be there for the people that are under your responsibility. Life after the military has had its challenges and having Finn around has helped me stay steady and connected. My wife and kids love him and they interact with him with lots of love. My granddaughter loves him because they grew up together and are the same age.
