About this campaign
Our oldest son found him in a parking lot had burned his paws by trying to get into an engine. He was able to get him out and save him and brought him to us since his apartment didn't allow pets. My son found him abandoned as a kitten and brought him home and he ended up being exactly what our home needed at that time.
Finn has not presented any health problems until now. We noticed he had vomited and was very lethargic. Took him to ER and they told us he has urinary block & needs medical attention ASAP or he will pass away. They kept him 4 days, we went back after being discharged and found liquid in between his lung and heart and extracted it. We went back again after being discharged and is blocked again.
I feel that I can't turn my back on Finn that it is just how I was trained be there for the people that are under your responsibility. Life after the military has had its challenges and having Finn around has helped me stay steady and connected. My wife and kids love him and they interact with him with lots of love. My granddaughter loves him because they grew up together and are the same age.
I am a retired disabled veteran unemployed. My wife works but we never expected this financial toll. Applied to Care Credit approved for 9K and maxed it out. We paid 3K out of pocket and they say we will need to pay 5-6K to keep him alive and this is all within a week.
