Finn is a 4-year-old Blue Heeler Mix in Newport Center , VT, who needs $2,000 for Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy (TPLO).

My sweet Finnagen came into my life on June 17th 2019. I will forever remember this day. Me and my sister had just gotten done hiking 6 miles to the top of a mountain in 80 degree weather when we saw this beautiful boy posted on facebook. When we arrived at this lady's house he was in the garage hiding in a corner. He had the sweetest face and I knew then we had to bring him home with us.

My parents and Finn became best friends when I went off to college. Every morning Finn wakes my dad up (too early if you ask my dad). Finn loves walking around on the farm with my dad and going wherever he goes. Fun fact Finn has never been a treat dog, he prefers to hide his treats under the porch. We call this his “emergency pantry”. He turns into a lap dog at the slightest sound of thunder.

Finn has been my rock dog. He got me through hard years of high school , break ups, college years, life hardships. His favorite things are herding around a ball, playing fetch with the tennis balls, and chasing around his yellow lab sister. He loves going to check the chickens and gardening with my mom. He likes to take his stuffed toys outside and bury them in the garden for my mom to find

We noticed finn was limping on his right hind leg a few weeks ago. We brought him to our local vet who confirmed with sedated X-rays that he had torn his ACL. Finn is going to be treated at Stonecliff animal hospital in New Hampshire. The chances of him tearing the other side are high. He needs a TPLO. The estimate is a little over $4860. We have him on supplements right now and rest.

I recently just started working. My family did not have this financial cost on our radar and are very shocked at the almost $5k bill. I recently have been having car trouble as well. It seems like all these hardships are hitting all at once.
