Finn is a 9 year old Siberian Husky in Pittsburgh, PA, who needs $2,000 for Surgery for Hypercalcemia Related to Parathyroidis.

Finn has been with us for over 9 years, since he was a puppy. He has always had siblings, as we have always had multiple dogs! He started out with an older brother and sister, and unfortunately the older brother passed away. His older sister is still around, and is now joined by 2 younger sisters as well! Though him and his older sister have a true bond. He is definetly a ladies man by heart :)

Finn was diagnosed with hypercalcemia related to parathryoidism around 6-8 months ago. Diagnosis was not clear, as blood work was showing obvious signs of it, but ultrasounds were not. His case is special and not very straight forward, and surgery is the only long term cure. The hospital we go to is Blue Pearl Pet Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA, specifically the south location.

Finn is a true explorer! He loves hikes and walks, to the point where he will talk and yell at you when you start to get his leash out to know because he is such a smart boy and knows where he is going! He loves protecting his "babies" (toys) from being outside and will always bring them inside. He always loves cheese and laying with his older sister outside when it is snowing for hours on end!

We have had few sudden major expenses related to our other dog and our home just this year alone, spending thousands. He is a completely healthy otherwise and this is the only long term solution, and we want to have our big boy the best chance for an amazing 9 more years!
