About this campaign

Finnegan was adopted from a local Humane Society just before Christmas. After loosing my 11 yellow tabby boy, I had to have another kitty in my life. I walked in and knew he was the boy for me. He came home and was immediately friends with both my dogs. He is very social and follows me around like the dogs. He wants to be wherever I am.

He is the most well mannered kitten at only 6 months. I have a throw on the couch he loves to suckle and make bread. It is the sweetest thing to watch him. There is a dog bed next to my desk and he goes there whenever I am at my computer or working. He is not real energetic, but I think that is due to not breathing well.

He had an URI when I got him and had been treated since only a few weeks old at the shelter. After adopting him he went through 2 more rounds of antibiotics. We have done blood tests and he does not have any infection, but cannot breath. Dr. Florence from Bargersville Veterinary Hospital believes he has a polyp that is preventing him from breathing well.

I was expecting to spend money for typical care and extra on the URI. Unfortunately, I was not prepared to have surgery on a kitten I just adopted. Being unaware of the actual problem that existed. I just don’t have a cushion for this extra expense. I am worried as to what they might find and it could even go over the estimate.

I am a senior & I do Farmer’s Market during the spring, summer and fall. Unfortunately, for the first 3 months of the year income is very sparse. Having help with this sweet baby where he can breath would mean the world to me. I think his energy level will also increase.
