Fiona is a 7-month-old Chihuahua /Terrier Mix in Torrance, CA, who needs $2,000 for Orthopedic Surgery.

I rescued Fiona from the high kill Downey animal shelter. She was not doing well in the shelter environment. Her and her brother were the only ones out of the litter that were not adopted . I adopted both of them because I knew they needed each other. Euthanasia rate is so high right now I adopted them in order to foster and find them a home.

Fiona was a very scared, timid puppy who is now full of life and loves everyone but especially young children. She gets so excited to see the neighbors and the neighbors children. She loves to give kisses, and to give a little nibbles on the ear. She loves to cuddle and to tell you that she is glad to be out of the pound. She is waiting to find that special family to call her forever home.

Fiona is such a kind, sweet, gentle puppy. When you hold her and arms and snuggle with her, while stroking her head, she closes her eyes and has a grin on her face because she’s so at peace and being loved.

I was taking Fiona out to the front yard where she loves to play and she saw the neighbor who she loves, and she wiggled out of my arms and jump to the floor. When she hit the ground, She hit the corner of the concrete sidewalk and the dirt which instantly broke her leg and rolled crying in extreme pain.

I am only working part time, and I am on government assistance , and spent my savings on trying to save some dogs, lives from euthanasia. Now, I can’t afford her broken leg. I don’t know what to do. I desperately need help.
