Fitzgeralds' Story

In 2010, I got married and had always wanted a Shih Tzu. I simply asked my husband if I could have one and he said yes. I went to work right away to find my special friend. I found an ad for a breeder and found she had some for sale. We were leaving for vacation the next day so I gave a deposit for the one I picked out.

When it came time for me to pick my pup up, I discovered she had given him away. There was only one left with a small deformity of his eye but that never mattered to me, he needed someone to love him. I brought him home and we named him Fitzgerald, a name I didn't think anyone else used. Fitz has never been vocal but since Lulu came he whines, he doesn't bark.

Fitz and I have been together almost 12 years now and he's my best bud. Fitz has a rescue sister, a Miniature Schnauzer named Lulu. They get along extremely well with each other. Fitz has his ways of showing jealousy, like how he always wants to be the first one to greet visitors. He always has a good disposition and has never shown signs of aggression. Always greeting with a wiggly tail.

Fitz started having seizures and found he has a very enlarged liver and congestive heart failure. The liver is very large and his hind legs wear out on him and he can't stand up. The seizures are awful to watch. He is now on meds one of which is $125.00. He has to stay on these for the rest of his life.

We live on a fixed income and it really puts a strain on us. Fitz and I would be most grateful if you could donate to take care of his bill. I want to keep my friend for as long as iI can.
