In 2012, I was living on my own for the first time in a new city/state, 1,500 miles away from everyone I knew & loved. After feeling alone for what felt like ages, along came a surprise named Flo. This teeny kitten was a gift to keep me company & has been my companion now for 14 years. We’ve travelled to new states & homes together & she has 2 younger brothers whom she’s loved for 10 years.

Flo has severe nasal congestion that makes her struggle to breathe, even while lying still. Everyday, I hear her fighting to survive. She can barely eat or drink & requires blood work, x-rays, & dental work. Her vet is at Worthington Woods Animal Care Center, who has taken great care of her over the years, but now she needs serious help. This little lady is not done living just yet.

Flo is surprisingly curious whenever strangers come to visit & will approach you just to see who you are & what you’re like. When I’m upset or sick, she instinctively knows & comes to my side for comfort. She’s been with me through many difficult times & is still a spry little thing at 14 years young. Her brothers are now worried about her & it shows through their care & attempts to comfort her.

Flo’s sudden medical needs hit me like a ton of bricks. While it’s too much to do alone, with help from caring people it’s entirely possible for her to get back to her sweet, happy, cuddly self. Please help my baby girl breathe & bring the light and love back into our home.
