Foxy is an 11-year-old Rat Terrier in Las Vegas, NV, who needs $1,000 for critical dental surgery.

Foxy is suffering and in pain. She has a massive abscess on her gum, and needs urgent surgery to relieve the infection. But Foxy's human mom, Lisa M., has been dealing with financial disasters and is pleading for help to pay for Foxy's critical operation.

"I was laid off last year and as a result was never fully was able to catch up on bills," Lisa tells Waggle. "Recently, I was rear-ended by a woman who didn't have insurance, so I had to pay for it all and file for bankruptcy."

Lisa saved Foxy off Craigslist. "As soon as I rescued her, I learned she was in a kennel most of her puppy life, so I knew she was going to need tons of extra care," Lisa says. "In the last two years, she became completely blind. Dr. Martinez is her veterinarian. He is at Caring Hands Animal Clinic. I trust him and his staff. They are his family. I feel Foxy will be in good hands."

Foxy has become such an essential part of Lisa's life. She is hoping you might help "pay it forward" and help Foxy this holiday season.

"Foxy is a beautiful, strong alpha female," Lisa adds. "She has always been a boss to her smaller family members. She grooms them, and even us if we let her. She is my guardian and still is despite the fact that she is blind."
