About this campaign

One by One Animal Advocates

A silver face peeks out from behind a rusted cage suggesting a dog who has seen a lot in her lifetime. We don’t know her back story, but we know she is in a rural KY shelter with an obvious injury to her front leg.

Frances is unable to bear weight on her front leg, and gingerly holds it up as she tries to hobble along. An appointment has been arranged for her evaluation, diagnostic XRYs, and pain medicine. We have no idea the cause of injury, when it occurred, or what she will need.

Through further diagnostics, it was discovered that the fracture occurred right at the joint and long enough ago that it has started to calcify. All this time she has been walking on a broken leg that the vet said is still causing her pain. Because of the location and age of injury, the only solution is amputation.

Everyone who has interacted with her has commented how loving she is. We are determined to get her the veterinary care to feel happy and healthy in her golden years. Please donate today to help this sweet senior. Thank you!
