About this campaign
The moment Kami H. took one look at Frank's soulful, dark eyes -- it was all over! She fell head over heels in love.
"I knew he was meant to be with me," Kami tells Waggle. "He was six months old and snuggled his little nose into my neck."
Kami brought Frank home, and he bonded with her four children.
"He is an all-around family dog and loves everyone in his home, but he is especially close with his mama. He follows me everywhere I go. He is a true lover with an innocent soul and my shadow. I truly believe Frank understands what we feel," Kami says.
Frank has been the picture of health over the last four years until he suddenly had a seizure. Kami rushed him to Rum River Veterinarian. The staff ran tests and discovered he has a rare parasite called visceral leishmaniasis. Without expensive treatment, Frank's life is on the line. Kami and her family are trying to raise the money to pay his medical bills.
"I would do anything to save Frank," Kami says. "He was supposed to turn white-faced and grow old with his family. The cost is just nothing we can afford. How can I let my beloved Frank die so young over money? Our family is devastated, and we all need your help to save Frank."
