About this campaign

As the pet co-owner, we decided to adopt a young cat for a companion to help with my severe anxiety. We found a rescue shelter about 3 minutes from our home and immediately fell in love with our cat, who we say "chose us" to be adopted

Two months after we adopted Frankie she stopped playing and just kept sleeping and eating very very little. A trip to Sellwood Dog and Cat Hospital for bloodwork and an ultrasound lead the vet to diagnose a disease called Feline Infectious Peritonitis(FIP). She weighs under 7 pounds and her belly was distended because fluid was building up in her stomach, which required draining.

Frankie is a curious creature, she was trying to get into everything and everywhere in the house We really laugh and enjoy playing "fetch" with her and her favorite toy, these little plastic springs. She constantly is losing them because they roll under the oven, or refrigerator.

I retired last year due to medical issues and gave up a very decent paying job to stay home and give priority to my own health. We need our little Frankie well again so she can live a full life.
