About this campaign

Fraya is like my daughter and keeps mine and my cat's lives interesting! I adopted her as a puppy after I had a dream that a brown and white dog would come into my life and change it for the better. Raising her was by far the hardest thing I've done in the last year but she has taught me so much and improved my anxiety and depression and I am so grateful for her.

Fraya and Kyubey (my cat) are constantly roughhousing like brother and sister, but she adores him. It's so cute to see how she interacts with them. Fraya is shy with people, but she is obsessed with my nephew and parents and is always trying to attack them with kisses (even when they politely tell her no).

Fraya is SO special to me because she keeps me safe, knows to calm me down when I'm having a panic attack, and knows to stay near me when we are out and about. When I have a panic attack or a depressive episode, Fraya is immediately in my face, looking at me with concern and showering me with kisses. I don't know how I would get through my darkest moments without her.

Fraya has elbow dysplasia, which, left untreated, could cause early arthritis and essentially cripple her. With a bilateral arthroscopic surgery (estimated at $4,460), Fraya's chronic pain, limping, and potential future arthritis would be taken care of and give her the quality of life she deserves.

This is an unexpected, overwhelming cost. I have spoiled my animals always and have taken Fraya to the vet almost every month that I've had her for chronic UTIs and for her limping before we had a diagnosis. I have applied for a loan and been denied.
